We are looking for an Automation Controls Engineer (ACE) who is responsible for supporting the successful planning, designing, and engineering of the Company’s equipment as it relates to user interface and automation controls associated with the use of the equipment. All work should comply with applicable electrical and safety code requirements driven by industry standards. The Automation Control Engineer must also aid the Production and Service departments to troubleshoot in house and customer related issues.

Applicants must have/be:

Programming Experience:

- 2-3 years experience in Programming PLCs and HMI design, using Allen Bradley hardware/software. Preferably

- PLC5 + SLC Platform writing Experience

- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, DLR, Profibus, Modbus, DH+ and DeviceNet

- FactoryTalk View SE or ME experience

- RS View 32 Troubleshooting Experience

- Visual Basic knowledge a HUGE PLUS!

- Customer User Experience vision and thought a huge plus!

Control Panel Design knowledge and requirements

- EPLAN

- UL508A

- Short circuit Calculations and computation of SCCR

- NFPA79

- ISO13849

- NEC

- Power electronics and high temperature power control

- VFD's

Job Duties:

- Support production, checkout and service team with HMI and PLC troubleshooting

- Design/write HMI and PLC logic

- Design and update Electrical Schematics

- Support engineering team with new product development

- Support Engineering Department, Sales and Production team when needed to ensure business goals are met
