Role Purpose
The position is responsible for developing, enhancing, & managing the company’s Dedicated Power™ generator service sales business.
He/she will serve as an ambassador to the Company’s service department by selling service agreements, extended warranties and other service products to new customers while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
The position is a hybrid of technical sales, supervision of the service staff and customers. Performs service duties and supervises and coordinates activities of workers to ensure that all upkeep, inventory & the repair of generators is carried out.
The Service Manager shall have responsibility for supporting new business, meeting with customers, making product and technical presentations, attending project meetings, and acting as the primary contact for projects

Able to make the transition from Lead Tech to Service Manager
Able to Supervise Field Techs & Inside Service CSR(s) Strong communication skills – able to communicate effectively on technical and business
Speak & Write English & Spanish
Make sure skills within the Service Team remain sufficient to meet internal and external business demands.
Proven knowledge and experience in project management methods
Create growth plan specific to the service department to improve the Service Department & its Revenue
Able to Interpret & Create Reports and Projections of Service Sales Safety Protocols & Standards Implementation & Adherence
Duties:

Current & Future Supervise & Guide Field Technicians
Act as the highest source of information for all service, inventory, and product-knowledge concerns and work process matters
Review Estimates & Workflow created by CSR(s)
Review Technicians Notes and Correct as Necessary
Work Directly with Service CSR(s) in Task & Workflow
Maintain Technician’s Factory Training Requirements
Assisting in the disciplinary or promotional recommendations required for all service personnel.
Interprets and enforces OSHA standards and company safety protocols Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve pre-defined Work Goals.
Maintain the Company Brand Schedule service personnel for on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis.
Interview, Screen, & Select future Service employees.
Customers
Service & Repair Carry out site visits for new customers and as needed Realize & Fulfil Estimates for Complex Repairs & Commercial PM Contracts.
Courteous, efficient response always from all service personnel.
Ensure effective communications with customers for upcoming service work.
Attend to & Reply to Customers E-Calls on an On-Call Emergency Basis.
Parts and Equipment
Organization of Parts
Ensure spare parts or materials lists are compiled and verified in sufficient time for work assigned.
Responsible for inventory & inventory management, supplies, ordering and delivery of all service-related items needed.
Responsible for managing the quality of deliverables Purchasing Parts & Order Management Ensuring Techs have the proper tools Vehicles Maintain COMPANY vehicles in proper working order.
Review Techs Monthly Vehicles Inspections Ensure that technicians and service trucks have adequate parts and tools to conduct service work.
Maintenance/Improvem ent Responsible for the supply and upkeep of all personal tools required by COMPANYs and its affiliated companies for Service Technicians.
Research and evaluate all current and potential products used in the field

Operations
Ensure invoices are accurate, and payment terms are met.
Track labor budget versus actual cost by task or technician.
Recognize design or systematic errors.
Monitor number of return trips for each job to stay on schedule.
Analyse revenue sources- percentage from equipment versus labor, and seasonality. Record sources of profit/loss and margin in equipment and labor.
